And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
