The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 as the boiling of the hot water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head, 48 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! 49 This is what you doubted?" 50 Verily the God-fearing shall be in a secure place 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 clothed in fine silk and rich brocade, sitting face to face with one another. 53 So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59
