NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mortals, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
