The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
