Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
