Alshu'araa' 10 of 11

The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
