The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and amid the extended shade 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
