Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
