And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
