And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
