Al-Insan 2 of 2
Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively. 23 Wherefore persevere thou with the commandment of thy Lord, and obey not thou of them, any sinner or ingrate. 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 And part of the night, prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him a long night through. 26 Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. 27 We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. 28 This is a reminder. Let whoever wishes, take the right path to his Lord. 29 But you cannot will it unless God wills [to show you that way] -- God is indeed all-knowing and wise -- 30 He admits into His mercy, whomever He wills; and for the unjust He has kept prepared a painful punishment. 31
God the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
