Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And indeed We are Able to show you (O Muhammad SAW) that with which We have threatened them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
