And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
