Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
