Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
