And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 He said: "It does not behove of me to prostrate myself before a human being whom You have created out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud." 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment. 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
