And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
