And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
