He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 And He hath subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Verily therein are signs for a people who understand. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 They are not living but are dead. They can not know when they will be raised. 21
