Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
