The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
