Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error. 11
