The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
