Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
