Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
