The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 "Enter therein in peace and security!" -- 46 And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts-- (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face. 47 There shall touch them no toil therein, nor therefrom they shall ever be driven out. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 and that My punishment is the painful chastisement. 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? 56 He said: what is your errand, sent ones? 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60
