Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
