▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 49 In both of them are two fountains flowing. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 57 As if they were rubies and coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness? 60 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,- 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Both [gardens] of the darkest green. 64 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 65 In both of them are two springs gushing forth. 66 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Fair ones, confined in tents. 72 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory. 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
