Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
