Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
