And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
