۞ Proclaim, “I advise you just one thing; that stand up for Allah's sake, in twos and ones, and then think”; there is not a trace of insanity in this companion of yours; he is not but a Herald of Warning for you, before the advent of a severe punishment! 46 Say: 'I ask no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage is only upon Allah and He is Witness over everything' 47 Say: Lo! my Lord hurleth the truth. (He is) the Knower of Things Hidden. 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Say: "Were I to go astray, I would but go astray [due to my own self, and] to the hurt of myself; but if I am on the right path, it is but by virtue of what my Sustainer reveals unto me: for, verily, He is all-hearing, ever-near!" 50 And if you could see when they are terrified but there is no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby. 51 And they will say, “We accept faith in it”; and how can they attain it from so far away? (After they have crossed the limit of life allotted to them.) 52 They had surely denied it before and aimed without seeing from so far away. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
