1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 Are we then not to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
