Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
