Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Most Merciful. 2 A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears is a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 who do not pay zakat and have no faith in the life to come. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
