Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
