The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
