Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 1 It is He who has sent to the illiterate a Messenger from among their own people to recite to them His revelations and purify them. He will teach the Book to them 2 Along with others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 3 Such is the Favor of Allah; He gives it to whom He will, and Allah is of abounding favors. 4 The likeness of those who have been loaded with the Torah then they have not carried it, is as the likeness of an ass carrying books. Evil is the likeness of the people who have cried lies to God's signs. God guides never the people of the evildoers. 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O you Jews! If you pretend that you are friends of Allah, to the exclusion of (all) other mankind, then long for death if you are truthful." 6 But they will never long for it, because of that their hands have forwarded; God knows the evildoers. 7 Say: "Behold, the death from which you are fleeing is bound to overtake you - and then you will be brought back unto Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind, whereupon He will make you truly understand all that you were doing [in life]. 8
