Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
A. L. M. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 these are rightly guided by their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
