And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)! 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 What, shalt thou make the deaf to hear, or shalt thou guide the blind and him who is in manifest error? 40 We shall inflict retribution on them, whether We take you away from the world (before We do that), 41 Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them. 42 So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is inspired in you. Verily, you are on a Straight Path. 43 it is certainly a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be called to account. 44 And ask them – did any of the Noble Messengers We sent before you, appoint any other Gods except the Most Gracious, whom they used to worship? 45
