Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? 54 They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones." 55 He said, "No one despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are in error. 56 He added: "What is your errand O sent ones?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." 60
