The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
