We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
