Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 Thamud, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
