NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
