Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Are with them the treasures of thy Lord! or are they the dispensers? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are over-burdened by debt? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
