The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
