Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 You shall know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
