The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
