Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
